THE FIRST VIRTUAL MULTIPLATFORM ART GALLERY LAUNCHES TO SUPPORT NFT TALENT

Visitors will live an immersive art experience through VR platforms, PCs, and even web browsers.

 

Some of the dozens of artists featured in Altered Gallery and their work are world-famous DJ Steve Aoki, rapper ITSOKTOCRY (USA), Yagatoshi (Mumbai), Joss Monzoni (Toronto), Fira (Colombia), Dani Muñoz (Costa Rica), and Mauricio Madelat (México).

 

Acclaimed painter Eduardo Arranz-Bravo (Barcelona, 1941) will have a VR replica of his studio inside the gallery which is expected to launch its first stage on May 31st.

San Francisco, CA. May 18th, 2021.- Altered Ventures, the Silicon Valley investment fund focused on independent games, esports & VR/AR, announced the launch of its virtual art gallery, “Altered Gallery”, featuring the work of dozens of artists digital talent, crypto-creators, and plastic painters and sculptors from Latin America, Asia, Europe, and North America. The exponents will show their work for the very first time in a Virtual Reality (VR) space which will be also available through other platforms like PCs and even web browsers. 

The first phase of Altered Gallery will be launched on May 31st and it will have more than 30 artists from different countries. The total amount of artists for the whole project is now in the dozens. Visitors will be able to experience the gallery using several immersive VR platforms like Oculus®, HTC Vive® y PC-VR but they will be also capable to live the virtual world using non-immersive platforms like a simple web browser and Windows®.

Altered Gallery will include exclusive chambers of artistic collectives and NFTs from renowned artists like musician Steve Aoki, who recently sold one of their digital works for more than $800,000 USD. Other digital artists like Victoria del Castillo, BitPixi, BrainPasta and CryptoSophy (USA), Yagatoshi (Mumbai), Joss Monzoni (Toronto), Fira, the first crypto-artist from Colombia, Denver rapper Itsoktocry, painter and visual artist Mauricio Madelat (Mexico), the creative team from Platzi.com, among many others.

“We've been investing in video games, esports, and VR/AR since 2016 and almost two years exploring the convergence between Blockchain and the interactive entertainment sectors. The NFT phenomenon is only the beginning of the future for that convergence”, said Mario Valle Reyes, the Mexican founder & managing partner of Altered Ventures and Hotlum Powell Capital.

“Altered Gallery” is the first result of those explorations, according to Valle Reyes and at the same time is a supporting platform for emerging artists from digital to plastic to crypto from all over the World. 

The official launch trailer was featured for the first time yesterday night, during a live session in Twitter Spaces from the Latin American crypto community “Cryptocositas”. According to the trailer, Altered Gallery is going to be the place where the users will also find gaming experiences, exclusive live streams and events, music concerts, auctions, and much more.

Altered Gallery was developed by Non-Fungible Team®, a distributed company producer of VR & Blockchain solutions in which Altered Ventures invested in February 2021. 

People interested in art and technology enthusiasts will be able to access the gallery in its first stage from May 31st using a web browser directed to: alteredgallery.art and/or installing the app for Windows® in its PC desktop version or PC-VR. The Oculus® is currently in its submission and authorization process.

Los exponentes mostrarán su obra por primera vez en un espacio de realidad virtual (VR) que también estará disponible vía computadoras y navegadores web.

La primera fase de Altered Gallery será lanzada el 31 de Mayo y tendrá a más de 30 artistas de distintos países. Los visitantes podrán vivir la experiencia a través de plataformas VR inmersivas como Oculus®, HTC Vive® y PC-VR y no inmersivas como navegadores web y Windows®.

La Galería incluirá cuartos exclusivos de colectivos artísticos y artistas reconocidos como los NFTs (Tokens  del músico Steve Aoki, quien recientemente vendió una de sus obras digitales por más de $800,000 USD. Otros artistas digitales como Victoria del Castillo, BitPixi, BrainPasta y CryptoSophy (USA), Yagatoshi (Mumbai), Joss Monzoni (Toronto), Fira, la primera artista crypto de Colombia, el rapero de Denver Itsoktocry, el pintor plástico y audiovisual Mauricio Madelat (México) y el equipo creativo de la plataforma Platzi, entre otros.

La galería virtual de arte, Altered Gallery, fue desarrollada por Non Fungible Team®, empresa de desarrollo VR y Blockchain en la que Altered Ventures invirtió en febrero de 2021. 

Los interesados en el arte y entusiastas de la tecnología podrán acceder a partir del 31 de mayo a través de su navegador web a través de: alteredgallery.art y/o instalarla en Windows® tanto para Desktop como para PC-VR nativo.
